Rules and Requirements

Behavior and Safety

 

Members and Prospects undertake:

 

  1. Respect All rules established by official/ejidal authorities of any city or route visited.

  2. Do not interact in a rude or provocative way with other members and third parties in general, we are in this hobby to make friends and enjoy the good times. Any altercation or unwanted incident will be grounds for expulsion. This applies to family members of members and guests.

  3. Once you wear the club sticker, you must Maintain the integrity and reputation of the club. Our members' vehicles are an extension of what we want to represent… don't abuse your vehicle on public roads, save it for the off-road!!

  4. Members may attend events or routes of third parties as private and not as representatives of the club; If you want it to be official, you must submit an request to the club, we want to maintain a standard of events where we will have an official presence.

  5. In these uncertain times, security is very important for the club, we will always try to promote caravan outings with a minimum of 3 cars during official outings (groups a,b,c etc)

  6. The preservation and cleaning of the routes, ranches, roads, and camping areas is mandatory. You must carry garbage bags (trasharoo, heavy duty) and dispose of the material in the appropriate place.

 

Vehicle Requirements and Basic Equipment

 

Members and prospects commit to outfitting your vehicle(s)prior to any route, Not all rated 4x4 vehicles will work on some routes (they will be approved at the club's discretion, some vehicles only qualify for touring or Light routes) see the Levels table for technical information.

 

  1. Vehicles in perfect mechanical condition.

  2. Good quality lift kit minimum 3 inches, Stage 2 for touring and Stage 4+ for routes

  • Stage 1 – Entry Level Kit – Increases ground clearance and suspension damping

  • Stage 2 - Base Suspension Upgrade - Light to Medium Offroad

  • Stage 3: Performance system: increased cooling of the reservoirs in the shocks

  • Stage 4: Mid Performance System: Reservoirs in front and rear shocks for increased travel, reinforced arms and linkage, chromolio shafts

  1. Tire 33'' All-terrain minimum (Mud preferred)

  2. Spare tire in good condition

  3. 4 Drag Points; 2 front and 2 rear

  4. Winch Rated according to the required weight (9000lb minimum for most vehicles)

  5. The vehicle must have 4x4 and at least one locking or locker system(front or rear)

  6. Off-road lights

  7. Off-road Flashers lights.

  8. Base radio in your vehicle (2 meters with a minimum of 35 Watts)

  9. Emergency equipment in each vehicle, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, air system

  10. Light recovery equipment, sling, shackles..

  11. In case of routes with camp: camp house and basic equipment

  12. Necessary supplies for the member, family and guests (food, snack, water etc)

Table of Levels / Classes in Off-Road Routes

 

 

No.LEVEL/CLASS 1 - EASY

Dirt and/or rocky road. Possible rocks and/or tree stumps less than 5" high and/or vertical ledges less than 5" high and/or near vertical ledges or waterfalls less than 6" inches. tires.It can be steep, but with good traction.

LEVEL/CLASS 2 -EASY

Dirt and/or rocky road. Possible rocks and/or tree stumps less than 8" high and/or vertical ledges less than 9" high and/or near vertical ledges or waterfalls less than 12" inches. tires.It can be steep but with good traction.

LEVEL/CLASS 3 -MODERATE

Usually more rock or undulating road surface. Possible rocks and/or tree stumps less than 12" high and/or vertical ledges less than 12" high and/or near vertical ledges or waterfalls less than 24" inches. Tire placement becomes more Difficult. Can be steep.

LEVEL/CLASS 4 -MODERATE

Usually more rock or undulating road surface. Possible rocks and/or tree stumps less than 18" in height and/or vertical ledges less than 18" in height and/or near vertical ledges or waterfalls less than 36" inches. Tire placement becomes more Difficult It can be steep and unbalanced.

LEVEL/CLASS 5 -DIFFICULT

Rocky or undulating road surface. Possible rocks and/or tree stumps less than 24" high and/or vertical ledges less than 24" high and/or near vertical ledges or waterfalls less than 54" inches. Tire placement becomes more Difficult It can be steep and unbalanced.

LEVEL/CLASS 6 -DIFFICULT

Rocky or undulating road surface. Possible rocks less than 36" high and/or vertical ledges less than 36" high and/or near vertical ledges or waterfalls less than 84" inches. Tire placement becomes more difficult. May be steep and unbalanced.

LEVEL/CLASS 7 -SEVERE

Rocky or undulating road surface. Rocks and less than 54" high and/or vertical ledges less than 54" high and/or near vertical ledges or waterfalls less than 10 feet. The placement of the tires is not good. It can be steep and off curvature.

LEVEL/CLASS 8 -SEVERE

Rocky or undulating road surface. Rocks less than 84" high and/or vertical ledges less than 72" high and/or near vertical ledges or waterfalls less than 14' feet. The placement of the tires is not good. It can be steep and off curvature.

LEVEL/CLASS 9 -EXTREME

Rocky or undulating road surface. Rocks less than 10' high. Vertical ledges less than 8 feet high and/or near vertical ledges or waterfalls less than 18 feet. The placement of the tires is not good. Extremely steep and dangerous incline.

LEVEL/CLASS 10 -EXTREME

Rocky or undulating road surface. Rocks over 10' high. Vertical ledges greater than 8 feet and/or near vertical ledges or waterfalls greater than 18 feet. Bad tire placement. Extreme slope and/or dangerous inclination.
